About this Site

"Trust and obey God for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but trust and obey." - Trust and Obey, a hymn by John H. Sammis.

This site is in loving memory of Shirley Jean Sando, the most selfless, giving and caring wife, mom, grandmother, sister and daughter. She touched so many countless lives in the 61 short years of her life, and ALWAYS put others before herself. Her gift of service impacted each of us in unique, meaningful ways. With that, her family is offering you a chance to give back.

If you feel moved to contribute or help, please donate whatever you're able to the following fund in memory of Shirley and to help Bill get through a tough financial situation. Just in the last day, our family has been impacted and overjoyed by the sincere emotion, kind words and acts of service from everyone around us.

With love and true appreciation,

The Sando Family

The memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Church, 12123 Hillcrest Dr., Dallas, Texas 75230 (www.hillcrestchurch.org).

  3. Sweet Sandos... Mama Sando left a wonderful legacy - one that tells of a woman full of love, wisdom and grace with a true devotion to her family. It seems way too soon for her to go, but what an amazing way to be remembered. I love your family so much - praying for you night and day. Lots of love...Ashley, Justin & Felicity

  4. We will ALL miss you Shirley! My mom (your aunt Janet) talked of you often before she past away last year. I remember you when I was younger in Greenville and visiting you and the family when you first moved to Texas with Grandpa Charlie Wilson. My dad (Donovan Oswalt) just called me and told me of Shirleys passing...we will all miss her very much! We all love you all and miss you, our hearts are with you all in this hard time.
